Host Eva Eppard is a real Appenheimer and has fulfilled this wish with the 100 guilder mill. Since last year, Eva Eppard has been concentrating fully on the restaurant and will further expand her involvement there. It is important to her that the mill does not offer fancy food, but authentic dishes that she likes most.
For "Rheinhessen genießen", Eva Eppard serves ossobuco of beef with celery, kale and Gau-Algesheimer potatoes . The potatoes are supplied by the vegetable farm Andreas Hellmeister from Gau-Algesheim. When it comes to wine, she remains true to her hometown and recommends a 2015 red wine cuvée dry from Appenheim .
