A few kilometers southwest of Bingen, the Wißberg rises in the nature reserve of the same name. Here, the innovative winegrowers of the Sprendlinger Bauern- und Winzerverband have created a completely new form of wine educational path with great commitment, new ideas and attention to detail, combining winegrowing, nature and landscape into a very special experience. And for the whole family!
Along the signposted 2 x 3.5 km trail, there are 22 adventure stations to discover, places to play and wonder, to rest and relax with a sweeping view of the Rhenish Hessian hills. A fragrant herb garden, for example, which is an eye-catcher in any season, or an interesting varietal garden. Under the motto "Stone and Wine" you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the relationship between soil and wine aroma, an exciting excavation site for real fossils lures the hobby researchers, a labyrinth of Wingertsknorzen forms the center of the children's play area. The refreshment at the Kneipp facility is very welcome in between.
You will find the adventure trail by simply following the signs from Sprendlinger Marktplatz, Bahnhof or Wißberghalle car park.
The starting point for tours through the world of experiences in the vineyards is the refuge on Weinheimer Weg, to which the marked circuit leads back. By the way, the Via Vinea is also an ideal route for Nordic walkers and skaters!
