Concert "The music controversy of the 19th century".

Titled as “Der Musikstreit des 19. Jahrhunderts”, this evening’s program consists of 19th century grand piano music. Protagonists Brahms and Liszt will represent quite diverse aesthetical and musical conceptions.
Christoph Soldan (piano and reciter) will demonstrate why, nowadays, we perceive both composers as creators of ingenious music using the example of Brahms’ Händel Variations and “Années de pèlerinage” (“Wanderjahre”) by Liszt.
Soldan will elaborate the programme by making the works and composers easily accessible to the audience.
