David Orlowsky feat. Daniel Stelter & Tommy Baldu

"Tabula Rasa"

There could hardly be a more fitting image for the new chapter that David Orlowsky is opening: After 21 years with the globally successful David Orlowsky Trio and his award-winning project 'Alter Ego' together with lutenist David Bergmüller, as well as numerous composition commissions, the time has now come to launch a new band. And what a band!

Daniel Stelter, one of Germany's most sought-after guitarists, and the legendary drummer Tommy Baldu need no introduction. Together with Orlowsky, they form a veritable all-star band. This was not planned. The three met by chance behind the scenes at a festival and liked each other so much that they spontaneously decided to organise a small tour together. This concert tour laid the foundation for 'Tabula Rasa'. A new song idea emerged at every sound check, and the musicians couldn't get enough of this special chemistry.

These three are like a catalyst - each of them brings a unique past and musical language to the table, and from this blend something far greater than the sum of its parts emerges. The elements interact with each other and create something completely new.

This is why the project is called 'Tabula Rasa': they want to free themselves from prefabricated concepts and marketing ideas and instead give free rein to creativity. The result should be shared with the audience in as pure and focussed a way as possible. The audience is an integral part of these concerts, creating a dialogue that takes the music to a higher level. Most of the songs were composed as a team. They are simple yet atmospheric and take the audience on a captivating journey.

There is no room for egotism in this trio, only pure joy in the music. All three are true admirers of each other's skills, and this admiration grows with every performance. This is unmistakable.
