Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart created one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of music with his Requiem in D minor, which he began in 1791. Although he could not complete the work himself because of his early death and many numbers are only in sketches handed down, it is, as the last surviving work, through the completion of his students Eybler and Süßmayr, an impressive end to his compositional work.
In the concert of the "International Music Days Wörrstädter Land 2019" a new reconstruction of the Lacrimosa will be presented with the Amen fugue started but not completed by Mozart, which the music professor Birger Petersen from Mainz has newly created especially for the Gutenberg Chamber Choir. Mozart's Requiem is also juxtaposed with a composition by Mozart's contemporary and counterpart Antonio Salieri, which will be staged for the first time in 2019 in Rheinhessen by the Gutenberg Chamber Choir. As part of this concert project, a CD will be produced in cooperation with the SWR for the world premiere recording of the works in this new version for the label Christophorus.

Tickets are available for: 35 Euro incl. Welcome sparkling wine and 1 pretzel
