Visitors can look forward to over 600 events in the anniversary year 2016. The calendar of events for the first half of the year is already out of print in many places. Now the project office "200 Years of Rheinhessen" is busy working on the second issue: More than 200 events take place from July to December. Many active people have reported their events over the past few weeks. Including in August the two highlights charity bike tour for children with cancer "pre-tour of hope" (7 to 9 August) and the open-air gala in Ingelheim with opera stars such as soprano Diana Damrau, tenor Vittorio Grigolo and baritone Thomas Hampson (20th of August).
But there are also extraordinary events such as an exhibition of floral art from Japan with materials from Rheinhessen of the Ikebana Study Group Bingen of the Sogetsu School Tokyo (21 to 28 October).
The new events calendar for the period July to December 2016 will be published in April. The editorial deadline was in December last year. It is available, as already the first program, in many public places, for example in the AZ customer center, the local and association communities as well as the tourism information, the banks, savings banks and museums.
An up-to-date version of the calendar is available at www.rheinhessen-2016.de - as well as a version to flip through.
