Where is Rheinhessen?

Location and arrival

Rheinhessen is the largest winegrowing area in Germany. It lies in the spacious triangle between Mainz, Worms and Bingen, which is bounded on the north and east by the Rhine. Rheinhessen belongs to Rhineland-Palatinate with the state capital Mainz.

Rheinhessen is accessible via excellent transport links. The direct proximity to the international Rhein-Main-Airport Frankfurt, three major highways (A 60, A 61, A 63) and the train connections to the big cities open up the country in an ideal way.
