Workflows were analyzed and improved by internal shifts. Vinothek, foyer and sanitary facilities are leaning on the barn as new components. The closed wooden "box" and the wall corner of the vinotheque frame the transparent entrance to the foyer and the function room. The existing buildings required only minor structural interventions to make new openings. The new building consists of light wooden structures, they cover and cover the foyer, wine store and sanitary area. Due to the compact design and room groupings flexible usage variants are possible.
The character of the existing buildings has been preserved in regional colors, contrasting with the new building with light wood trim. Large glass surfaces, the metal roof and burgundy details in the interior contrast the old and the new, allowing the winery to visualize its wine lines: innovation, creation and tradition.
Incidentally, the owners of the Domhof vineyard have created the first wine aroma garden in Rheinhessen in the garden of their estate: the four regional varieties of the vineyard are combined with plants that represent the fragrance of the wines.
The garden is also an event center. With their specialization in special events, Chris and Alexander Baumann offer the know-how that turns a private party into an experience. In the old stables of the Domhof an official branch office of the registry office has been set up so that nothing stands in the way of a perfect wedding in a historic ambience.
In 2010, the winery received the Best of Award from the Great Wine Capitals in the Architecture, Parks and Gardens category.
