The building was bought in 1827 and since 1828 the Town Hall, School and Civic Hall have been housed in this stately courtyard from the Baroque period. The round-arched door and window arcade with the stone bench as well as the merchant's sign in the capstone of the door arch indicate a former shop. The building stands in the area of the former royal Saalhofes Westhofen.
