Catholic parish church of St. Mary's Assumption

The local history of the village of Undenheim can be explored in the local history museum. In addition, the cycle path running along the former railway line between Köngernheim and Nierstein offers a detour to Undenheim. The church lies almost enchanted, surrounded by the remains of a mighty defensive wall. Inside, the high and slender choir, built between 1440 and 1460, with a simple nave added in the 18th century, surprises visitors with its majestic spaciousness. Despite its stricter, reduced design, the choir's excellent architecture, with its sophisticated vaulting and large tracery windows, reveals its similarity to the west choir in Oppenheim.
