Katholische Pfarrkirche St. Mariä Himmelfahrt

The history of the village Undenheim can be explored in the local history museum. In addition, from the running on the former railway line between Köngernheim and Nierstein cycle path a detour to Undenheim. The church is almost a little enchanted, surrounded by the remains of a mighty defensive wall. Inside, the majestic spatial impression of the tall and slender choir, built between 1440 and 1460, surmises the simple nave of the 18th century. The excellent architecture of the choir with its refined vault and large tracery windows reveals its relationship to the Oppenheimer West Choir, despite its stricter, reduced design language.
