The first mention of a church in Monsheim in 1496 - a fortified church in Romanesque style. The bell tower with the three bells dates back to 1878. In the years 1904/05, the building on the north side of the belfry and the creation of a sanctuary were used to create the present-day form. A modernization phase from 1965-74 gave the church interior a rather cool objectivity. The interior renovation carried out in 2000 gave the church its Art Nouveau paintings and thus their special touch back. Text taken from tour Monsheim by courtesy.
