Built in 1953 as a solid family home on a property slightly less than 1200 square meters, we rebuild and renovated the house from autumn 2015 to March 2017 from the cellar to the chimney.
The result is two bright, charming apartments with a lot of comfort in a free standing house, a spacious courtyard and our large, natural garden. The apartments in Haus Sauer are located in the outskirts of the village. Directly in front of the door, the Rhenish cultural landscape with its arable land and vineyards await you. Here you walk along a row with old pear trees with handicraft objects or you hike in the very nearby largest connected forest in Rheinhessen, the Vorholz.
The motorway connections A61 and A63 are approximately 7 km away. Likewise the district town Alzey. The "small residence" Kirchheimbolanden you can reach in about 11 km and also the popular Donnersberg, 686 m high, is only 17 km away. The route to the romantic spa town of Bad Kreuznach is about 25 km, Mainz, the Main-City from Rheinland-Pfalz, you will reach it in about 36 km, almost the same distance as to the Nibelungenstadt Worms.
Our region offers small, fine sights. Relax, breathe deeply and still be active, you can do here! Our part of the region, the Rhine-Hessian Switzerland, is a landscape with a different face from that of the typical Rhineland vine landscape. It is considered to be the wooded heart of Rheinhessen with an astoundingly diverse landscape. This recreation area is a paradise for hikers, Nordic walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers and for pleasure. In the course of the year there are many festivals around the wine. We will be glad to assist you with our local and regional knowledge.
Here in the Sauer house on the edge of "Vorholz-Forest" Rheinhessen is not only for "Weck, Worscht and Woi" (transl.: bread, sausage an wine), but also for the forest, the fourth "W" in league. The "Woi", wine, but also grape juice and sparkling wine, you get directly from the winemaker, which you find after just a few steps across the street.
"Tilla" on the ground floor is our approx. 53 sqm apartment with daylight shower-bath, small oriel in the living room, bedroom with single beds as a double bed, hallway and open living/kitchen area. In the apartment you have a folding sofa, TV and internet and a fully equipped kitchen including freezer and microwave. Iron and top loading washing machine complete the apartment.
"Otto" on the upper floor is our approx. 51 sqm apartment with daylight shower-bath, balcony, bedroom with single beds as a double bed, hallway and open living/kitchen area. There is a folding sofa, TV and internet and a fully equipped kitchen including freezer and microwave. Iron and top loading washing machine complete the apartment.
