The Catholic neo-Gothic parish church of St. Bartholomew was built between 1871 and 1873. The foundation stone of the church, which served both denominations until the first half of the last century, was probably laid in 1344. Both churches in Nieder-Saulheim stand next to each other on the site of the old simultaneous church of St. Bartholomew.
