In the school building, built in 1907, classes 5-8 were taught in one school hall until 1972. The architecture is attributed to the so-called Darmstadt Art Nouveau style. Between 1982 and 1984, a hall extension was added to the building and it was turned into a community centre wiht a council hall, community office, community library and club meeting place. The basement provides accomodation for the volunteer fire brigade and the village youth.
