Burgkirche Ober-Ingelheim

Public guided tour: Natural History(s) - Protected by Walls and Gates

Ingelheim
on 15.09.2024 at 14:00 o'clock

In the Middle Ages, the regional noble families in Ingelheim protected their belongings with high walls and defiant gates. On our walk in Ober-Ingelheim we explore the age of knights together and make the medieval way of life tangible. At our stations in front of the historic buildings, we will take you back to those days. We look with you behind walls and fences, where so many floral beauty hides and trace the extraordinary survival strategy of the wallflower in the cracks of the stones. Together we admire the autumn colors with which the lush Virginia creeper and the virgin vine entwine over old quarry stones.
