Starting point for comfortable stages to the south or north is the wine-growing town of Guntersblum, approximately in the middle between Mainz and Worms.
On the RheinTerrrassenWeg you are spoiled for choice, the route is appealing in both directions, whether you go to Oppenheim or Nierstein to the north or Osthofen to the south - the good thing is: you always come back comfortably by train. In the south, the deeply cut hollow paths at Mettenheim and Alsheim beckon. Through the centuries of human activity, a fascinating coexistence of animals and plants has emerged in the narrowest of spaces, and in this diversity there is only to be admired in and around Alsheim. The charm of the stages in the north is quite different: the Katharienkirche von Oppenheim can already be seen from afar. The most praised Gothic church between Strasbourg and Cologne, is the epitome of Gothic in Rheinhessen. At Nierstein, the path wanders the Roter Hang, one of the most famous vineyards in Germany with the most beautiful view of the Rhine. In the Domhof dormitory in Guntersblum you can pass the day's impressions with a glass of wine.
Arrival is possible on the following days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
