In the 8th episode of our web series “Wine View into the Future”, we present extraordinary wine experiences from Rheinhessen that combine pleasure, culture, and adventure. At Weingut Domhof in Guntersblum, the escape room “Grape Escape” creates thrilling moments in the mystical wine cellar. At the yoga retreats at Weingut Wasem Doppelstück in Ingelheim, gentle movements merge with mindful wine enjoyment in the vineyards. The WineWalk Mainz combines city history with exciting, stylish, and outstanding wines from Rheinhessen, turning culture into an indulgent experience. Together, these offerings show how multifaceted wine can be experienced in Rheinhessen – playfully, meditatively, or culturally. An open invitation to rediscover wine with all your senses.

Ja-oder-Wein is a charming wine shop in the heart of Mainz that sees itself as a meeting place “for friends & neighbors” and offers a special selection of wines.
In 2025, the wine shop received the Great Wine Capitals Best of Wine Tourism Award. The award particularly recognized the concept of the WineWalks – guided wine strolls through Mainz’s old town, combined with tastings and historical insights into the wine capital.
Grape Escape at Weingut Domhof in Guntersblum is an extraordinary experience in the winery’s own cellar. In an atmospheric setting with candlelight, old barrique barrels, and treasure chests, guests slip into the role of wine spies and experience wine in an unusual way. Within 60 minutes, tricky puzzles revolving around wine, cellars, and barrels must be solved. Logical thinking, team spirit, and a sense of adventure are essential. The unique backdrop of the wine cellar makes this escape room truly one of a kind.
WineYoga by Elena and Weingut Wasem Doppelstück in Ingelheim combine mindfulness, movement, and the enjoyment of wine into a unique experience. Yoga instructor Elena Kuhlmann aims to make yoga accessible and carefree for everyone – focusing on joy rather than performance pressure. Guests experience gentle yoga sessions for all levels, followed by mindful wine enjoyment. The concept: bringing body, mind, and nature into harmony and celebrating the moment. In this way, yoga and wine become a delightful, inspiring community experience.
