The city of Alzey, located in the south of the Rheinhessen region, charms with its lovingly restored old town featuring picturesque half-timbered houses and numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops.

Museum of the City of Alzey

For the curious-minded or rainy days, the Museum of the City of Alzey is the perfect destination! Housed in a former hospital building from the 16th century across 3 floors, the museum features exhibitions on the geology and Earth's history of the region, as well as cultural and urban historical highlights. Particularly recommended is the recently opened Steinhalle in 2023, which boasts an impressive collection of Roman artifacts.
