From the Obermarkt, you can walk through Augustinerstraße to Atzel, a narrow street with typical 18th and 19th century lower middle-class old town buildings.
Of particular note is the half-timbered house built in 1686, before the destruction of the War of the Palatinate Succession, with its decorative half-timbered roof and charmingly decorated corner posts.
