The Blümel Cottage was built at the end of the 19th century by master mason Valentin Spangenmacher as a prestige object. In 1986, it was acquired by the Blümel winery from Hans Winter along with the vineyard. Erich-Matthias Blümel and his father Erich renovated the tower with historical bricks from a demolition house.
Later, it was renovated again by the Wine Ring Osthofen e.V. With its Norman-Moorish architectural style in the context of historicism, it is unique in the region.
