Nahefähre und Bootsverleih Kurpark Bad Münster

On the river for 300 years - the Nahe ferry The Nahe ferry is the shortest connection between the Bad Münster am Stein spa gardens and the Huttental valley with the ascent to the Rheingrafenstein. It was installed 300 years ago. Initially it was used to transport materials, e.g. wood, from one side of the Nahe to the other. Today it is used to transport people and is the only hand-pulled ferry in Rhineland-Palatinate. The ferryman uses a wire rope to pull the boat across the shallow waters of the Nahe to the other side. Guests on the ferry enjoy the magnificent view of the Rheingrafenstein rock, to which the remains of the 12th century castle ruins cling like a swallow's nest. The ferryman receives a small fee and knows how to entertain the public with many anecdotes. So the ferry is not only a means of transportation, but every trip also conveys culture and history. Boat hire Between the Nahe weir at the campsite and the Kapitän Lorenz bank, you can enjoy the romantic landscape particularly intensively on a boat tour. Either in a classic rowing boat or a duck pedal boat - fun for young and old. Boats can be hired directly from the ferry terminal.
