The Alte Post used to be a post office on the Thurn and Taxis postal route. The building, erected in 1807, housed the post office, an inn and stables for the horses. There the horses were also changed for the onward journey with the stagecoach. The former Posthof, a post-Baroque half-timbered building with a half-hipped roof, is now privately owned and used as a residential building.
