On the way from the community hall to the Schildberg Tower, one of the formerly five shrines, which was erected by Josef Schmitt in 1925 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is located facing west. Until the 1980s, it was a destination for prayer and field processions.

In the meantime, the shrine has been renovated and shines again in its original splendor. Next to a resting bench, the beautiful view directly on the Way of St. James invites one to pause.

Further shrines can be found in the village at the corner of Hauptstraße/Am Kimmel and in Hintere Dorfstraße/Breiteweg.

One shrine, which used to stand at the upper Breiteweg - coming from Wörrstadt - has been replaced by a stele, and a second modernized one at the New Gate by the kindergarten today features a relief by a well-known artist.

Crosses can be found at the corner of Bahnhofstraße/Breiteweg, on the Schildberg, and in the field in the area called "Johannisbaum." On the pilgrimage route towards Vendersheim, there is still a stele with St. Joseph, which was erected and maintained in a small grove by Franz Josef Arnold in the 1980s.

Atonement Cross in the District

On the cycle path from Sulzheim to Wallertheim – parallel to B 420 - there stands aatonement cross in the field that was erected here as early as 1526. This location was formerly the marketplace, and after a death, this cross was erected as atonement for the deceased and their family.

Memorial Stone of the Marienkapelle

In 1936, a memorial stone was erected from an old grave stone from the former cemetery in Sulzheim at the Rommersheim creek - not far from the present Rommersheim Mill. It is meant to commemorate the Marienkapelle of the former monastery estate Rommersheim.
