The ship mills in the rhine stream in front of Ginsheim worked for several centuries. Up to 21 of these swimming small businesses for grain processing were achored at the same time before they left because of the industrialization and the increasing shipping traffic. Today the authentic reconstruction of the last rhine- ship mill offers interesting and exciting views into the technology and the working conditions of bygone times.
