Our new gem is the winner of the Great Wine Capital - Best Of Wine Tourism Award 2020 in the category Architecture, Parks and Gardens.
The Ingelheimer Winzerkeller is the new heart of the red wine city's wine experience. It welcomes its visitors in an open and friendly manner in the light-flooded wine press hall, which, thanks to the landscaped inner garden, resembles a small oasis of well-being. What was once the building of the former Nieder-Ingelheim winegrowers' cooperative is now the new central meeting point for guests and citizens of the town and perfectly combines the four areas of tourism, wine, gastronomy and events.
Wine is still in the air of the listed building from 1904, because in addition to the Winzerkeller Restaurant and the Ingelheim Tourist Information, the Winzerkeller is also home to the Ingelheim Vinothek. 24 winegrowers and a distillery have joined forces and exhibit their wines and spirits here. Browse, taste or buy - the Vinothek is the showcase for Ingelheim wine and the perfect place to discover its new Ingelheim favourite. Wine tastings and wine events take place regularly in the modern premises.
Right next to the Vinothek is the Tourist Information Office, which provides information on all important Ingelheim topics seven days a week. City maps, hiking maps, information brochures, but also postcards, vouchers or souvenirs are available here. Tickets for various events in the kING or other events can also be purchased here.
Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of the Ingelheimer Winzerkeller to the full in the Winzerkeller Restaurant. The mixture of old walls and modern architecture is the ideal setting for one of the most extraordinary restaurants in Ingelheim, which aims to serve its guests traditional regional dishes and first-class international cuisine with high quality standards in all price ranges. First-class wines from the Ingelheim Vinothek are served with the meals.
Family celebrations, company or cultural events, the Ingelheim wine cellar also offers a unique ambience for these events. Where wine barrels used to be stored in the vaulted cellar has become a place for unforgettable experiences thanks to the special atmosphere and the atmospheric lighting concept. Have you become curious? Then simply come and visit us.
