For over 20 years, the Zaun family has operated the Straußwirtschaft in the heart of Udenheim. In a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere, guests can enjoy a good glass of wine from their own vineyard. The kitchen offers hearty Rheinhessian dishes for both small and large appetites.
A specialty is the dishes centered around asparagus, which also comes from their own cultivation. At the end of June, the annual "Asparagus Festival" is celebrated to mark the close of the asparagus season. A warming fireplace provides a cozy ambiance on cold days. A visit to the Straußwirtschaft can, of course, also be combined with a wine purchase.
