In the large, historical estate, organic wines and sparkling wines can be enjoyed in a special atmosphere. The family-friendly wine tavern invites you to linger and is open on weekends from the end of April to the end of August.
During this time, Christian Wagner cooks typical Rheinhessen dishes. The Wagner family has been cultivating vines in Essenheim for over 400 years; the grapes grow on the sun-drenched southern slopes of the Selztal. The old courtyard with half-timbering and limestone reflects this long tradition.
There is also plenty for little guests: grape juice, a sandbox in the courtyard, and a large soccer field in the garden offer plenty of space to play.
Two marked wine hiking trails begin directly at the vineyard. Upon request, visitors will be provided with hiking maps, glasses, and the appropriate wines.
In summer, the courtyard is also regularly transformed into a cultural stage: theater, jazz, readings, and wine tastings are on the program. Further information about the vineyard and events can be found at www.wagner-wein.de .
