Since 2011, the first vineyard swing of Rheinhessen has been located in Welgesheim. It is a project of the tourism association Rheinhessische Toscana e. V., implemented in cooperation with the farmers' and winemakers' association of Welgesheim. Similar to a Hollywood swing, one can comfortably sit on a stable wooden swing with a backrest, and not just alone. There is definitely space for two people. This allows for a romantic and relaxed swing into the sunset together with a glass of wine. There are certainly various occasions for this extraordinary landscape experience.
Further vineyard swings can be found in Zotzenheim below the Hörnchen, at the Gigser in Wolfsheim, along the Via Vinea in Sprendlingen, and in Horrweiler at the table of wine. Gradually, more vineyard swings have been installed in other local communities of the VG. Since May 2020, such a swing has also been available in Aspisheim, right by the hiking trail, inviting visitors to linger with an earth refrigerator and a table of wine. At the other end of the hiking trail, the second Spremdling vineyard swing was added in June 2021 - now one can walk from swing to swing along this path. The official inauguration of the vineyard swing took place on July 12, 2020, in Badenheim at the table of wine, and on August 30, 2020, the inauguration of the Grolsheim vineyard swing took place, also directly at the local table of wine.
