Feel free to try all our organic wines in our wine shop and enjoy the sunshine in the large old estate yard.
For more than four hundred years, our family has been cultivating wine in Essenheim. Our vines grow on the southern slopes of the Selztal. Our old courtyard breathes the spirit of this tradition between half-timbered houses and limestone.
For our little guests, there is grape juice, a sandbox in the yard, and a large football field.
We offer wine tastings and guided vineyard walks for various group sizes. Two marked wine hiking trails start at the winery. We are happy to equip you for the hike with a map, glasses, and the appropriate wines.
Our wine shop is open year-round from Monday to Saturday from 8 AM to 8 PM, and on Sundays from 1 PM to 6 PM.
During opening hours, picnic tables are available where you can enjoy a snack with a glass of wine (picnic tables: March to October).
From late April to mid-September, our wine tavern is open on weekends.
Christian Wagner then cooks typical Rheinhessen dishes. Throughout the summer, we transform our yard into a cultural stage. Theater, jazz, readings, and wine tastings are on the program.
