Here on the Roter Hang, we, Thore and Werner, are deeply rooted—just like our vines. Our family has been growing wine since the 19th century. Working in the vineyard and wine cellar, facing the challenges of nature, producing wines full of character—we put our heart and soul into this craft. Our vineyards are among the best locations on the Roter Hang, such as Pettenthal and Oelberg. A perfect foundation for characterful, mineral Rieslings – our absolute favorite classic! In addition, we are breaking new ground and also cultivating old, rarer grape varieties – such as the Rhine-Hessian rarity Viognier. Definitely worth a try! Together with our team, we invest a lot of time and love in the natural cultivation of the vines, in the optimal harvest of high-quality grapes, and in gentle winemaking in the cellar.
