Old-established winegrowing and organic cultivation go well together. This is how the organic winery Kronenhof (ECOVIN) in Gau-Algesheim, in the very north of Rheinhessen, emerged 15 years ago from a traditional family business.

Andreas Hattemer from Geisenheim relies on flourishing vineyards and living soils to produce wines with strong character in the cellar. Riesling and Burgundy still dominate the wine range, but more and more new, robust grape varieties are being added. Cabernet blanc, Cabertin, Souvignier gris and Sauvignac not only delight in taste, but also stand for active climate protection.
