The Landhaus Pilgerhof is an inn in the middle of the winery. Experience tradition and centuries-old craftsmanship as well as innovation and new ideas for wine growing. Leave everyday life behind you and enjoy our hospitality. Biebelnheim is located in the heart of the Rhine-Hessian hilly landscape and has a centuries-old tradition in winegrowing. Due to the calcareous soil, only red wine vines were planted until 50 years ago. You too will feel the fascination of Rheinhessen on the well-developed cycle and hiking paths along the vineyards. The name of our vineyard goes back to the pilgrimage movement in the 17th century. Pilgrims on their way to Rome, who wanted to spare themselves the further waterway on the Rhine, wandered right across Rheinhessen. So they passed Biebelnheim on the pilgrim path, which ran directly along our winery. But the history of Rheinhessen does not begin in the late Middle Ages. Starting with Celtic and Roman settlements, through the time of the Palatinate Wars of Succession and the medieval period of the minstrel Volker von Alzey, to the French occupations of Napoleon, our region has experienced a rapid progression of changing ownership and power structures. The influence of many different cultures can still be felt today, not least in the linguistic dialect. And the evidence of this history can be found within a radius of a few kilometres. Alzeyer Castle, Oppenheim's St. Catherine's Church and Landskrone Castle, Worms Cathedral and the Gutenberg city of Mainz with its countless Roman monuments are just a few of the interesting excursion destinations in the surrounding area.
