In viticulture, time has a different dimension: The Ensheimer Kachelberg was formed around 280 million years ago by the subsidence of the Rhine Graben. It is a classic south slope primarily consisting of marl limestone and a barren rock formation. The character of this ancient rock is reflected in the taste of many wines from Leo Lahm. Preserving traditions, maintaining values, and yet being open to the new - this is the core idea of the winemaking family.
