Since 2011, the first vineyard swing in Rheinhessen has been located in Welgesheim. It is a project of the tourist association Rheinhessische Toscana e. V., implemented in partnership with the farmers' and winemakers' association of Welgesheim. Similar to a Hollywood swing, one can comfortably take a seat on a stable wooden swing with a backrest here, and not just alone. There is definitely room for two people. This makes it possible to swing romantically and relaxed into the sunset with a glass of wine for two. There are surely numerous occasions for this extraordinary landscape experience!
Further vineyard swings can be found in Zotzenheim below the Hörnchen, at the Gigser in Wolfsheim, at the Via Vinea in Sprendlingen, and in Horrweiler at the table of wine. Gradually, vineyard swings have been set up in other local communities of the VG. Since May 2020, such a swing has also been available in Aspisheim, directly at the hiking trail, inviting visitors to linger with a ground cooler and a table of wine. At the other end of the hiking trail, the second vineyard swing in Sprendlingen was added in June 2021 - making it possible to walk along this path from swing to swing. The official inauguration of the vineyard swing took place on July 12, 2020, in Badenheim at the table of wine, and the opening of the Grolsheim vineyard swing occurred on August 30, 2020, also directly at the local table of wine.
