In the idyllic Selz valley and between rows of grapevines and orchards lie the towns of the Gau-Algesheim association municipality. Worth seeing churches, historic town halls and market places characterize the beautiful townscape of the communities, first and foremost the town of Gau-Algesheim.

In addition to viticulture, this region is characterized above all by fruit growing - a feast for the eyes that can hardly be overlooked in the springtime when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Numerous places to stop for refreshments and traditional festivals have always attracted visitors. In recent times, well-signposted cycle paths - e.g. the Selz Valley Cycle Path or the Fruit Route - and hiking trails have been added. One attraction is the round tour "Hiwweltour Bismarckturm", certified by the German Hiking Association. Paths lined by forests, vineyards and pastures offer fabulous panoramic views of Ingelheim, the Rheingau, Laurenziberg with the pilgrimage church and into the Binger Loch.
