Wonnegau and Zellertal

The Wonnegau, the largest wine-growing collective municipality in Rheinhessen, impresses with its beautiful landscape and a packed events calendar that brings the theme of wine to life. The Zellertal region is also dedicated to viticulture, introduced by the Romans around 20 BC, and can compete with the best wine-growing regions in the world. Numerous cycling and hiking trails lead through the Wonnegau and the Zellertal, passing by many typical Rheinhessen landmarks along the way.
