AZ-Bigband - Frühjahrskonzert

On March 7, 2026, friends of jazz, swing, Latin, jazz-rock, and funk from the entire region will gather at the Alzey City Hall. The AZ Big Band will play in their well-known captivating style for all who appreciate good music. Look forward to a spring concert featuring the AZ Big Band. The varied program is characterized by songs and greatest hits of jazz greats such as Maynard Ferguson, Quincy Jones, Duke Ellington, Pat Metheny, Peter Herbolzheimer, Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Bob Mintzer, etc. The AZ Big Band has been performing since 1987 in a classic big band format with four trumpets, four trombones, five saxophones, and a rhythm section consisting of piano, drums, bass, and guitar. Singers complement the diverse musical profile of the big band. Under the direction of Sebastian Haas, the band incorporates not only classic swing and jazz but also modern styles such as soul, funk, rock, and Latin American music. Musicians enthusiastic about jazz from all over Rheinhessen have come together in the AZ Big Band. With their musical passion and skill, they regularly entertain audiences at performances both within and beyond the region.
