Bad Kreuznach and its Wine Sponsorships in the Third Reich Under the title "Bad Kreuznach and its Wine Sponsorships in the Third Reich", historian Dr. Krieger sheds light on the interesting history of the German wine sponsorships as part of the marketing and propaganda instruments of National Socialist politics. From 1935 onwards, nearly 1,000 towns from the Rhine to Pomerania took on special "wine sponsorships" for individual wine-growing regions, with folk wine festivals and parades organized everywhere by the NSDAP party apparatus as part of a nationwide "Festival of the German Grape and Wine." The populace quickly turned this into the slogan: "Drinking for the Führer!" Bad Kreuznach also benefited significantly from the state-mandated week-long drinking binge.

Anyone interested in learning more about this exciting topic is invited to attend Dr. Krieger's lecture on April 22, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Schlosspark Museum.

Admission: €5.00, members of the Wine Order receive free admission (upon presentation of order emblem or badge).

The Schlosspark Museum thanks the Wine Order at the Nahe for their support of these lectures.
