Binger Winterführungen - Die Mainzer Straße

Sat, 09.01. / 3 p.m. starting from Tourist Information: Thomas Zimmermann / The Mainzer Straße – from the Roman river road to the magnificent boulevard of the 19th and early 20th centuries /

“From the Roman river road to the magnificent boulevard of the 19th and early 20th centuries” is a tour that extensively addresses the history of this street. Whether the main connecting route of the Romans between Mainz and Trier or the establishment of numerous wine merchants in the 19th century, which provided the street with representative townhouses and villas; whether post office, churches or district court – there is much interesting to report about the Mainzer Straße.
