Bluegrass is a genre of Country music that originated from various styles (Blues, Jazz, Irish Folk) and developed around 1930 in Kentucky and Tennessee. The uniqueness also lies in the instruments used in Bluegrass: 5 String Banjo, Mandolin, Dobro, Fiddle, Guitar, Double Bass. They merge the elements of traditional Bluegrass with other styles like Rock, Gypsy, Swing, and Classical in their captivating music. A hallmark of Grass Unlimited is their harmonious multi-part singing, which gives their music a lively cheerfulness. The six musicians are all specialists on their respective instruments – often even on several. The band's repertoire includes several hundred titles accumulated over the decades, from which an entertaining program for the performance at KiWi is assembled.
