Dexheimer HakoRennen is back on track
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Dexheim will once again transform into a stronghold for small and large mud fans, DIY enthusiasts, and motorsport aficionados: The legendary Dexheimer HakoRennen enters its next round. Visitors can expect a spectacular show on the large lawn (access via Bahnhofstraße, 55278 Dexheim) starting at 2 p.m. – crazy, dirty, and full of passion. The gates open at 12 p.m..
What is the HakoRennen?
The HakoRennen is a unique race featuring modified one-axle tractors, affectionately known as “Hakos” after a well-known manufacturer. These machines, originally designed for agricultural purposes, are creatively modified by the teams and compete against each other on a course. In addition to speed, skill and teamwork are essential to overcome various obstacles and additional challenges, which also serve to ensure the safety of the visitors.
What visitors can expect
From 12 p.m., spectators can admire the lovingly crafted vehicles of the “Formula Scholle” up close and discuss technology and tactics with the teams. The official start signal for the timed races is at 2 p.m. when the first teams set off on the course. The knockout rounds will follow shortly thereafter.
A special highlight is the notorious mud pit, which causes spectacular scenes every year and attracts many small visitors during the breaks. But that's not all: annually changing supplementary challenges such as tire throwing, stilt walking, or the “drinking machine” – where non-alcoholic beverages must be consumed – add additional fun and challenges.
A (weather-independent) festival for the whole family
The Dexheimer HakoRennen is more than just a motorsport event; it is a celebration for the whole family. Children can look forward to exciting experiences while adults can relax with freshly tapped beer, regional wine, and culinary delights such as tarte flambée, sausages, and fries. In hot weather, swimsuits and sunscreen are recommended; in the rain, a cape is advisable – fun is guaranteed in both cases.
