Eröffnung der Hiwweltour Wißberg

The Wißberg Wine Hiking, which takes place every year on the last Sunday in April, will be enriched this year with a special highlight: the festive opening of the new Hiwweltour Wißberg. On the occasion of this event, the program will last one hour longer than usual, the route has been adapted to the Hiwweltour, and there will be additional stations for the guests.

The day begins on Sunday, April 26, at 11:00 AM at the Wißberghalle in Sprendlingen, where visitors will receive all information about the route. The route leads along the Via Vinea and the Hiwweltour Wißberg through vineyards with beautiful views of the Rheinhessen hilly landscape. At various stations, HiwwelConnection, the local women of Sprendlingen, as well as wineries and clubs from Gau-Bickelheim, Gau-Weinheim, and Wallertheim will offer drinks, small snacks, coffee, and cake from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

At 1:00 PM, the festive opening of the Hiwweltour Wißberg will take place at the Kreuzkapelle. Everyone interested is cordially invited.

The route covers about 10 kilometers (approximately 209 meters of elevation) and follows the signage of the Hiwweltour, with deviations marked additionally. Especially around the golf course, an important note applies: Stay only on the paths, as flying golf balls can pose a danger. Good footwear, weather-appropriate clothing (waterproof and/or sun protection), and a personal wine glass are recommended.
