New special exhibitions at the Ockenheim Local History Museum – History meets zeitgeist!

This year, the Ockenheim Local History Museum offers two special highlights: the new exhibitions "Travel Lust of the 60s" and "Snapped? – Not at all!".

The exhibition "Travel Lust of the 60s," with the cheeky title “Liverwurst Sandwich on the Beach of Rimini”, invites you on a nostalgic journey into the vacation and everyday culture of the 1960s. Experience the longing for faraway places, the joy of life, and the changes of this eventful time!

In "Snapped? – Not at all!" you will discover unique historical lights under the motto “Old Lamps in a New Light”, which fascinatingly combine history, technology, and design.

In addition to the special exhibitions, visitors can continue to explore the diverse permanent exhibition – from life around 1900 and 1950 to old crafts, historical kitchen appliances, and nostalgic children's rooms.
