Everlasting youth - an ancient dream of humanity! Whether literature, music, or painting – the theme has always inspired artists. Lucas Cranach the Elder depicted old women stepping into a well in a famous painting, emerging miraculously rejuvenated on the other side. The myth of the fountain of youth, which is said to reverse the aging process and even grant immortality, has persisted for millennia.
To remain forever young, vital, and beautiful is a dream that nearly everyone shares today. Can aging be halted? Is there a magic formula that promises eternal youth? Is Longevity – longevity through anti-aging products – something to aspire to?
At 66, it’s far from over, intones Udo Jürgens.
“Deep inside, I’m still a child,” sings Peter Maffay in the Tabaluga musical. “Whoever retains the ability to recognize beauty will never grow old,” writes Franz Kafka.
Perhaps something else matters after all?
The theme is as diverse as the stories that inspired the landscribes.
Musical accompaniment: Ralf Krämer (guitar)
