Journey through a peculiar land
Frank Fischer with “Gagaland” in the Burgscheune Stadecken-Elsheim
The world is upside down. To understand it, one might try to do a handstand. Or one can sit up straight and face all the nonsense with humor. At the invitation of Kiste (Culture in Stadecken-Elsheim), Frank Fischer takes his audience on a journey through a peculiar land on Saturday, October 17 at 8 p.m. in the Stadecker Burgscheune, bringing to life its quirky inhabitants with precise observation and fine humor. Tickets are available for 20 euros in advance at Blumenhaus Rutsch, Portstr. 15 in Stadecken and online at www.kultur-kiste.de, with remaining tickets available at the box office.
In “Gagaland,” Frank Fischer encounters grim Franconians, cheeky Ruhrpott women, and gets very close to madness while listening to a Saxon radio advertisement. Additionally, he explores the pressing questions of our time. Should we give artificial intelligence a chance if the natural one isn’t working out? Why do we unintentionally make noises as we age? And why should we be skeptical when long-distance trains are suddenly on time? Effortlessly, he bridges the gap from major world politics to the absurdities of everyday life. Because whether it’s presidents, celebrities, or the saleswoman behind the sausage counter – they are all part of GAGALAND
