The program features three works that are rather rarely heard in concerts: The Te Deum, composed by the 13-year-old Mozart and one of his first major sacred works, is a short, festive piece in C major for four-part choir, orchestra, and organ. In Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto for Two Trumpets, the splendor of baroque trumpet music unfolds. The Nelson Mass, officially Missa in angustiis ("Mass in Troubled Times"), was created in 1798 against the historical backdrop of political uncertainty in Europe. Powerful choruses, dramatic accents, and at the same time, intimate, hopeful passages characterize the work. The participants are the Wörrstadt Choir under the direction of Dean Cantor Peter Meyer, the ensemble Camerata Risonanza, and the soloists Carmen Burchert, soprano, Regina Grönegreß, alto, Fabian Kelly, tenor, and Florian Küppers, bass.
