Joseph Haydn: Nelson Messe

The mass, officially Missa in angustiis ("Mass in troubled times"), was composed in 1798 against the historical backdrop of political uncertainty in Europe. Powerful choirs, dramatic accents, and at the same time heartfelt, hopeful passages characterize the work.
The Wörrstadt choir performs with soloists and the orchestra Camerata Risonanza under the direction of Dean's Cantor Peter Meyer.
