 275 Years of Wine Tradition: Winery and Sparkling Wine Cellar Jakob Gerhardt Celebrates Anniversary
Nierstein, Rheinhessen – In 2026, the Winery and Sparkling Wine Cellar Jakob Gerhardt Nierstein will celebrate 275 years of viticulture and tradition in Rheinhessen. Since its founding as a family winery in 1751, the name Jakob Gerhardt has stood for wines from top locations, a spirit of innovation, and a strong connection to the homeland. Today, the traditional company cultivates around 75 hectares of its own vineyards in Nierstein, Oppenheim, and Dienheim with 35 grape varieties. The range is complemented by selected wines and spirits from abroad. State-of-the-art cellar technology, a treasure chamber with rare wines, CO₂-neutral shipping, and social and ecological responsibility shape the philosophy of the house.
