Chamber music for cello and piano – Works by Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Johannes Brahms, and Otto Nicolai (Piano solo) Heike Doedens, cello Christof Keymer, piano Heike Doedens studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover with Friedrich-Jürgen Sellheim, later as a scholarship holder at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Stefan Popov. In 1995, she completed her concert exam with Johannes Goritzki at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. Heike Doedens also received musical impulses from master classes with Philippe Muller, Wolfgang Böttcher, and Hatto Beyerle. Since September 1995, she has been a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the State Theater Mainz. In addition to her orchestral work, Heike Doedens plays in various chamber music ensembles, primarily with piano. A focus of her solo work is the engagement with the works of Mieczysław Weinberg.
Christof Keymer studied with Bernhard Ebert and Bernd Goetzke at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover, where he completed his concert exam. He has been a guest at festivals such as the Berliner Festwochen, the Bayreuth Festival, the Lower Saxony Music Days, and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival. He made studio recordings and concert recordings for numerous German radio stations. Various CD productions document the work of Christof Keymer, including chamber music albums with the Aura Ensemble and with horn player Felix Klieser. As a soloist, Christof Keymer released a recording of all piano transcriptions by Moritz Moszkowski as a double album in 2008. This was followed by another double album with a complete recording of the piano works of Hermann Goetz, a recording of the piano works of Max Bruch, and in 2026, a double album featuring the piano works of Otto Nicolai. As an editor, Christof Keymer has overseen a music publication of the previously unpublished piano works of Hermann Goetz.
