Glowing Christmas Cards

This Sunday, participants will create lovingly designed stand-up greeting cards using sturdy colored cardstock, festive paper, and a few skillful cuts. If a tea light is included with the Christmas mail, the greeting card instantly transforms into an atmospheric light display, with the cut-out motifs glowing through colored translucent paper.
At the Creative Lab, the focus is on experimenting with various craft techniques and letting your creativity run wild. During the winter semester of 2026/27, these expert-led workshops will revolve around the imaginative use of a special material: From translucent paper to sturdy cardboard, fiber-based materials like paper and cardboard have very different properties that can be used to create amazing effects. Whether semi-transparent or opaque, malleable or rigid, the individually designed results are small works of art that their owners—or the recipients—are sure to enjoy for a long time to come.
