Kunstausstellung "Im Wandel"

Exhibition opening: Paintings by Gudrun Emmert & Sculptures/Objects by Anne Haring.

THE TRANSITION is the name of the exhibition by painter Gudrun Emmert and sculptor Anne Haring at the Essenheim Art Forum (February 27 – March 22). Both artists explore the boundary between abstract and representational representation. Gudrun Emmert paints a reality parallel to ours with shapes and colors – inspired by chance finds. For her, the uncertain is the actual subject of the artwork. Sculptor Anne Haring explores the boundary between plastic figure and space, between inside and outside. In her sculptures of human bodies, torsos, and limbs, we find nothing individual, nothing situational. Nothing tells us beyond the material and the volume. And even that she often abstracts further to the raw outline.
